We are looking for doctors who are comfortable performing a procedural sedation. If you have these skills and a background in anaesthetics, emergency medicine, intensive care, or GP anaesthetics, we would love to hear from you.

What Xaler can do for you

Essential skills

We are looking for doctors who are comfortable performing a procedural sedation. The aim of dental sedation is to provide IV sedation to the point where a patient can tolerate a dental procedure but where they do not require any assistance with their breathing, however, given the medications being used, it is important that all practitioners have skills in advanced airway management and resuscitation.
This position is best suited to practitioners with training in anesthetics, emergency medicine, intensive care, or GP anesthetics.
  • Senior Registrar or Fellow of ACEM, ANZCA, CICM, or RACGP/ACRRM.
  • A minimum three to six-month term of anaesthetics
  • ALS competency within the last 12 months
  • Ability to pass a National Police Check, or current NPC within the last 12months
  • A current Working With Children Check (WWCC)
  • General or Specialist AHPRA registration with no conditions or restrictions
